Learn to Skate (Hockey 1 & 2)
Our Learn to Skate program will consist of 7-week sessions and invites children age 3 and older to learn the basics of ice skating in a safe, introductory setting. They will learn how to skate and be introduced to hockey play. Participants are formally trained how to skate in a progressive and sequential manner by skilled skating instructors.
Ages
Ages 3 and up. You can learn to play hockey at any age!
When
We run several 7-week sessions throughout each season. Our first session of the season usually begins in early August.

Practices
- Plan to arrive early to get equipment on prior to the start of practice.
- Parents are able to watch from the bleachers.
Extra Costs
There is no cost to this program, however, all skaters must be registered with USA Hockey and there is a fee for this. The fee varies by birth year.
Equipment
Equipment will be provided for beginner level hockey programs with check-out and return required. This provides families an opportunity try the sport before they purchase any equipment.
FAQ
What should you bring?
Your child will need a water bottle and comfortable athletic clothing. Players with long hair will want a hair tie or bandana. If you have your own hockey gear, you can bring it. Most importantly, a positive attitude!

Session 3: November - January
Learn to Skate starts with Hockey 1 & Hockey 2. This is a FREE program that is offered multiple times throughout the year.
